Thoughtful design.

About

WELCOME

Founded in 2020, my design studio is based in rural Oxfordshire and specialises in creating thoughtful,  bespoke gardens and landscapes across Oxfordshire, London and the surrounding counties.

With a background rooted in hands-on horticulture and formal training at the Oxford College of Garden Design (Post-Graduate Diploma in Residential Landscape Design), I bring a balance of creativity, practicality, and technical expertise to every project.

About

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

I focus on creating thoughtful garden designs that connect people to nature and support real, everyday living. Each garden is designed to suit your lifestyle — whether you’re looking for a family-friendly garden, a pet-safe outdoor space or a peaceful retreat for relaxation and wellbeing.

My approach is rooted in sustainable, nature-led design that encourages outdoor living and strengthens the bond between people, plants and wildlife. Designs are centred on creating functional, beautiful spaces that grow with you and bring joy to the everyday.

Gardens are designed not just to be seen, but to be experienced.

Whether you’re seeking a contemporary city courtyard in London or a wildlife-friendly country garden in Oxfordshire, I work closely with you from concept to completion to ensure your garden feels uniquely yours.

"Holly is without doubt an extremely capable and inspired character.  The layout of my garden and choice of plants is great and a wonderful place has been created."

ABOUT

I founded my garden and landscape design studio in rural Oxfordshire in 2020, creating bespoke gardens and outdoor spaces across Oxfordshire, London, and the surrounding areas. I’m passionate about transforming clients’ ideas into thoughtful, practical, and inspiring garden designs that foster a deep connection between people and the natural environment.

Before establishing my studio, I spent many years working hands-on in gardens both in the UK and further afield in New Zealand and Australia, where I lived for a number of years.  Following this, I studied a Postgraduate Diploma in Garden Design from the Oxford College of Garden Design.

My earlier career supporting children with additional needs and their families shaped my empathetic, collaborative approach. This experience underpins how I work closely with clients to craft unique, functional, and beautiful garden designs tailored to their individual needs.

Alongside my design practice, I am the Head Grower for The Straw Kitchen, a well-known local café where we grow with a permaculture style approach and I also collaborate with other garden designers on a freelance basis.

When I'm not to be found at my desk or with my hands in the soil, you'll find me out walking my dog or eating brunch somewhere delicious.

"Holly’s design has completely changed the way we use our garden. It now feels like a natural extension of our home. We get up every morning and the first thing we want to do is go out to the garden to see what has flowered."
